Music is a vital part of the corporate worship experience at First Christian. It serves as only one of several communication pathways in which believers are brought into the presence of God, through Christ, and seekers are exposed to the authentic, artistic, and life-changing message of grace and salvation in Christ Jesus. Music utilized in corporate worship is first for God’s glory, second, for the edification of the church and its members, and finally, for those who are seeking their purpose in this life.

Opportunities for:

Instrumentalists*: assist in leading weekend worship services
Vocal Teams*: 3 to 4 vocalists on a rotation assisting in leading weekend worship services
Vocal Ensembles: small vocal choirs geared at enhancing corporate worship
Special Music*: vocalists use their talent to inspire worship through song
Instrumental Ensembles*: instrumental groups geared to enhance worship
M.O.M. (Musician’s Outreach Ministry): this ministry seeks to allow those who do not have a church home or are currently uncommitted to Christ to become involved through musical avenues; this form of outreach will often use various musical types in a “jam” setting to bring more participants into both this ministry and to begin to take steps towards finding involvement in the local church
