Children's Ministries

The First Christian Church Children’s Ministry exists to teach children Christian values, foster a love for God through a personal relationship, and to provide families with opportunities to grow together.

Promiseland Children’s Church (Sundays– 10:30am)

Each Sunday morning, children from all over the Lakeway area gather to worship and praise Jesus in a child-friendly worship setting. Centered around a theme for each week, children can expect Bible-based lessons, meaningful songs, group interaction, and crafts to help drive home the point. Biblical principles like communion and offering are also practiced weekly. Promiseland Children’s Church is for age 4 through 5th grade and meets in the Promiseland room upstairs in the education wing.

Wednesday Promiseland Friends (Wednesdays– 7 to 8pm, Sept. - May)

A central point in Jesus’ teaching was relationships. Promiseland Friends is aimed to help children learn more in their relationship with Christ while also developing Christ-like relationships with one another. Each week is filled with crafts, games, prayer time, interactive drama, and lessons to help students understand how to live to honor God. Promiseland Friends is for age 4 through 5th grade and meets in the Promiseland room upstairs in the education wing.

ROMP! Summer Program (Wednesdays– 7-8 pm, June - August)

Summer is a fun, relaxing time for many children as they are taking a break from school. It is also a time where great learning and growth in Christ can be had! Why not combine the two? ROMP! is program that incorporates field trips, group games and activities, and Bible study into a terrific time for children of all ages (age 4 through 5th grade). Watch for a summer schedule on the main church bulletin board.

Sunday School (Sundays– 9:15am)

Age appropriate Bible study classes are offered for children of all ages during our first worship hour. Check with a greeter, a church map, or the door signs to find the appropriate classes for your children.
